BCCI announces exciting home season schedule for Indian Cricket Team

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has unveiled the much-awaited schedule for the Indian cricket team’s home season for 2024-25. The upcoming season promises an exciting line-up of matches with tours from Bangladesh, New Zealand, and England.
Season Kicks Off with Bangladesh Tour
After the T20 World Cup 2024, the Indian team will head on two overseas tours. They will first travel to Zimbabwe for five T20Is, followed by a tour of Sri Lanka for three ODIs and three T20Is.
India’s home season begins in September with a two-match Test series against Bangladesh. The first Test will take place in Chennai starting on September 19, and the second Test will be in Kanpur starting on September 27. Following the Test series, a three-match T20I series will be held in Dharamshala, Delhi, and Hyderabad on October 6, 9, and 12 respectively.
New Zealand Tour in October
October will see another thrilling Test series, this time against New Zealand. The three-match series begins on October 16 in Bengaluru, with Pune and Mumbai hosting the second and third Tests.
England’s Tour in 2025
The mighty England team will visit India in 2025. The tour features a five-match T20I series starting on January 22, followed by a three-match ODI series beginning on February 6.
Before England’s visit, India will engage in the high-stakes Border-Gavaskar Trophy. Australia will host India for a five-Test series from November 22 to January 3, ensuring a packed schedule for the Men in Blue.
