MI Emirates sets record total in ILT20 final

In a dazzling display of batting prowess, MI Emirates achieved their highest total of the season in the final game of the ILT20 league. With a belligerent performance at the crease, MI Emirates posted a mammoth score of 208/3, leaving spectators in awe.
Despite losing the toss, MI Emirates executed their batting plans to perfection. Openers Waseem and Perera set the stage on fire right from the start, propelling their team to a formidable 72/0 after the powerplay. This aggressive start put the Capitals on the back foot early in the game.
While the Capitals’ spinners managed to apply some brakes on the run-flow, Zahir Khan’s breakthrough against Waseem provided a brief respite. However, Fletcher’s resilience, coupled with missed opportunities by the Capitals, allowed MI Emirates to maintain their momentum.
Although Kusal’s departure was a setback, the Spiceman continued to anchor the innings, eventually reaching a well-deserved fifty. However, it was Pooran who stole the show with his explosive batting in the death overs. Despite some lapses in the opposition’s bowling, Pooran’s power-hitting ensured MI Emirates crossed the 200-run mark, setting a record total in the league’s final game.
