Axar Patel clinches ‘Fielder of the Match’ award in India’s T20 World Cup victory over Australia
Indian all-rounder Axar Patel secured the ‘Fielder of the Match’ award following India’s impressive 24-run triumph over Australia in the T20 World Cup 2024 match on Monday (June 24).
Axar Patel’s standout moment came in the ninth over of Australia’s innings when he caught Mitchell Marsh with his non-dominant right hand off Kuldeep Yadav’s delivery. Marsh attempted a pull shot, but Axar positioned himself perfectly behind square to execute a crucial catch.
