India has gained a strong position on the opening day of the 1st Test against Bangladesh, thanks to a century-plus partnership between Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin. Both all-rounders hit vital half-centuries in the final session, taking India closer to the 400-run mark at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
