Irani Cup moved to Lucknow, set to begin on October 1

The Irani Cup tie between Ranji Trophy champions Mumbai and the Rest of India has been shifted to the Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee Stadium in Lucknow.

Initially scheduled to be held in Mumbai, the match was relocated due to the prolonged monsoon making conditions unsuitable at Wankhede Stadium.

The five-day clash will kick off on October 1, with Mumbai looking to continue their strong form under the leadership of Ajinkya Rahane. Mumbai secured the Ranji Trophy in March 2024 with a commanding victory and now aim to carry that momentum into the Irani Cup.
