Reflecting on the defeat, Pawar said, “We want to win another World Cup, and we want Rohit Sharma to captain the team in the 2027 World Cup.” The loss in 2023 has been difficult for both the team and its fans, as the dream of winning the World Cup after a 13-year wait slipped through their fingers.
