Harmanpreet Kaur’s impressive captaincy record across formats

Harmanpreet Kaur, the captain of India’s women’s cricket team, has built an impressive leadership record over the years. Since making her captaincy debut in 2012 during the Women’s T20 Asia Cup final against Pakistan, she has gone on to lead India in 96 T20Is and 11 ODIs. While she is yet to captain the team in Test cricket, her impact in the shorter formats has been significant.
In T20Is, Harmanpreet has guided the Indian women’s team to 54 wins out of 96 matches, with a win percentage of 59.23. Her leadership puts her third on the list of most T20I wins by a captain, behind only Charlotte Edwards and Meg Lanning, both of whom have 68 wins.
As a captain, she has also contributed with the bat, scoring 2,128 runs in T20Is, including one century and eight fifties. In ODIs, she boasts a remarkable win percentage of 90.90, with 10 wins out of 11 matches.
Harmanpreet’s steady leadership and consistent performances continue to play a crucial role in shaping the future of Indian women’s cricket.
