India cancels practice ahead of T20 World Cup final against South Africa

Team India has decided to cancel their practice session ahead of the much-awaited T20 World Cup final. This decision comes after their impressive 68-run victory over defending champions England on Thursday. In contrast, South Africa will hold a training session before the final clash on June 29.
One possible reason for skipping the practice session is to provide ample rest to the players. India has had a demanding schedule, including a match against Australia on June 24. Additionally, the team has already addressed their pre-match media conference.
Team India has a chance to erase the memory of their loss to Australia in the 50-over World Cup final on home soil last year. Despite being the epicenter of Twenty20 cricket through the Indian Premier League, India’s only T20 World Cup triumph came 17 years ago. Their last major trophy was the Champions Trophy in 2013.
India has shown steady form in this tournament, starting with a win over arch-rivals Pakistan in New York. They went on to top their group and secured a crucial win over Australia in the Super Eights.
Captain Rohit Sharma emphasized the importance of staying composed ahead of the final. “We’ve been very calm,” Rohit said. “We understand the occasion of the final. It’s important we stay composed because that helps you make good decisions. We have been very steady and calm, and that has been the key for us.”
