India reaches T20 World Cup Final after dominant win over England

India has made it to the final of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024, defeating defending champions England in a commanding victory. Captain Rohit Sharma is now just one win away from fulfilling his dream of lifting a World Cup as a captain.

This comes after the disappointment of the 2023 ODI World Cup.

Although Rohit has previously hoped to win an ODI World Cup, he can find comfort if India overcomes South Africa on June 29 in Barbados.

Both teams have reached the final without losing a game. South Africa is on an eight-match winning streak while India has won seven consecutive matches.

A major concern for India is Virat Kohli’s form in the tournament. In seven innings, Kohli has not surpassed the 100-run mark. His highest score so far is 37 runs, which is below his usual performance.

Despite this, Kohli remains the highest run-scorer in T20 World Cup history. Rohit Sharma, who has been in excellent form, is just five runs behind Kohli’s record.
