Karnataka Cricketer K Hoysala passes away at 34 after cardiac arrest
The cricketing fraternity mourns the loss of Karnataka cricketer K Hoysala, who tragically passed away at the age of 34 after suffering a cardiac arrest. Hoysala collapsed on the field following a match in the ongoing Aegis South Zone tournament, where he was representing Karnataka against Tamil Nadu at the RSI grounds.
According to reports, Hoysala collapsed during the post-match huddle and despite immediate CPR, he was pronounced dead upon arrival at Bowring Hospital. Dr. Manoj Kumar, Dean of Bowring Hospital and Atal Bihari Medical College, confirmed the news, stating that Hoysala was brought in dead, likely due to a heart attack.
Expressing his condolences, Karnataka Minister of Health & Family Welfare, Dinesh Gundu Rao, lamented the sudden demise of the emerging cricketer. Rao emphasized the importance of health awareness and vigilance regarding cardiac health in light of recent incidents of youth succumbing to cardiac arrests.
