IND vs SL 3rd T20I: Rinku Singh’s bowling takes India to super over

In an intense finish, India and Sri Lanka headed into a Super Over in the 3rd T20I after Sri Lanka collapsed dramatically for the third consecutive match. Despite needing just 30 runs off the last 30 balls with nine wickets in hand, Sri Lanka faltered, managing only a tie by the end of their innings.

The match took a turn in the last two overs, with Suryakumar Yadav and Rinku Singh playing crucial roles. Suryakumar, bowling the final over, needed to defend six runs but managed to keep his nerve, taking two wickets and conceding only five runs.

The penultimate over by Rinku Singh was equally decisive. He conceded just three runs and took two key wickets, including that of Kusal Perera, who had scored a well-paced 46 off 34 balls. The pressure mounted as Sri Lanka required nine runs from the final 12 balls, but a series of wickets and tight bowling brought the match to a dramatic climax.

The game reached the Super Over, with Sri Lanka batting first. Kusal Perera and Kusal Mendis, their top-scorers, stepped up to face Washington Sundar. The Indian side, led by Sanju Samson, looked to contain the runs and set a manageable target for their own batsmen.
