India vs Australia: Josh Hazlewood returns for Brisbane Test, replaces Scott Boland

Australia has received a significant boost ahead of the third Test against India, with pacer Josh Hazlewood declared fit to return after recovering from a side strain. Hazlewood will replace Scott Boland in the playing XI for the match set to begin in Brisbane on Friday.

The 33-year-old fast bowler had missed the second Test at Adelaide Oval due to injury. In his absence, Scott Boland stepped in and delivered an impressive performance, taking 5 wickets in the match. However, Hazlewood’s experience and track record have earned him a place in the XI for the crucial Test.

Australian captain Pat Cummins confirmed Hazlewood’s inclusion, expressing confidence in the pacer’s fitness.
“He’s had no hiccups,” Cummins told reporters on Friday.
“He had a really good bowl yesterday, and another in Adelaide a couple of days previously. Both he and the medical team are really confident.”
