PCB allocates Rs 385 crore for stadium upgrades ahead of ICC Champions Trophy

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is investing heavily in the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy by sanctioning a significant budget for stadium upgrades. A total of Rs 385 crore has been allocated to ensure that three major stadiums in Lahore, Karachi, and Rawalpindi meet international standards for the tournament.
With the tournament approaching quickly, all three stadiums are undergoing extensive renovations. The Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore is receiving the largest portion of the investment, with Rs 231 crore allocated for its upgrade. The renovations at this venue include the installation of new seating, replacement of 480 LED lights, and the addition of two giant LED screens.
The National Bank Stadium in Karachi and the Pindi Stadium in Rawalpindi are also undergoing significant improvements. These changes include new seating and updates to LED lights and boards. While the renovations at these venues are less extensive compared to the Gaddafi Stadium, they are still crucial for ensuring a top-notch experience for players and spectators.
The PCB is committed to delivering high-quality facilities for the ICC Champions Trophy and is making substantial efforts to meet the required standards. The investments are aimed at enhancing the overall experience for fans and players alike during the tournament.
