Rahul Tripathi returns to Maharashtra team for 2024-25 Season

Rahul Tripathi, a key player for Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the IPL, has decided to return to his home state of Maharashtra for the 2024-25 domestic cricket season. Tripathi, who played for Goa last season, will now join forces with Ruturaj Gaikwad, who will lead the Maharashtra team following Kedar Jadhav’s retirement.

This reunion marks a strong addition to Maharashtra’s squad, as Gaikwad, fresh off his leadership stint with Chennai Super Kings in the IPL, takes charge. The team is further bolstered by the acquisition of Rajneesh Gurbani from Vidarbha. Gurbani, a pivotal figure in Vidarbha’s Ranji Trophy-winning campaign in 2018-19, joins Maharashtra with a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Vidarbha Cricket Association (VCA).

Changes in Tamil Nadu’s Coaching Setup:
In another update, Tamil Nadu’s head coach Sulakshan Kulkarni has ended his contract prematurely and is set to join Maharashtra. His departure paves the way for former Chennai Super Kings player and coach Lakshmipathy Balaji, who served as Tamil Nadu’s bowling coach last season. Balaji is now expected to step into the role of head coach, bringing his extensive experience to the position.
