Arshdeep Singh to make Test debut for India?

The selectors for the Indian cricket team are considering including pacer Arshdeep Singh in the squad for the upcoming Border-Gavaskar Trophy against Australia this November. According to a report by the Times of India, Singh has been advised to participate in the Duleep Trophy matches to boost his chances of making the Test team.

Arshdeep Singh, known for his impressive performance in white-ball cricket, could be a key player for India in the series. He has demonstrated his ability to move the ball effectively in limited-overs formats and may now be given an opportunity to showcase his skills in red-ball cricket.

The 25-year-old left-arm pacer was a standout performer in the T20 World Cup, where he claimed the highest number of wickets with 17. Singh has expressed a strong desire to play Test cricket and could become a valuable addition to India’s bowling lineup alongside Jasprit Bumrah.

The decision will depend on Singh’s performances in the upcoming domestic red-ball games, starting with the Duleep Trophy on September 5. If selected, Singh will join the ranks of India’s all-format players and could play a crucial role in the Test series against Australia.
