IND vs SL: Axar Patel strikes first wicket as Sri Lanka lose their third
Axar Patel continued his impressive performance in the first ODI between India and Sri Lanka by taking his third wicket of the match. He bowled a 90kph delivery that held a bit around the good length region. Sri Lankan batsman Sadeera Samarawickrama tried to push forward but was early into his shot.
The ball ended up chipping straight to Shubman Gill at short cover, who made no mistake in catching it. Samarawickrama looked at the pitch in frustration before walking back to the pavilion with a score of 8 runs off 18 balls.
With this wicket, Sri Lanka lost their third wicket in the match, putting India in a strong position. Axar’s consistent bowling has been a key factor in India’s success in this game.
