Pakistan Women’s Cricket team prepares for Asia Cup with new coach
The Pakistan women’s cricket team is gearing up for a strong showing at the upcoming ACC Women’s T20 Asia Cup 2024 under the leadership of their newly appointed head coach, Muhammad Wasim.
Muhammad Wasim New PCB Coach
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced that Muhammad Wasim, who previously served as the chief selector for the men’s national team, will take on the role of head coach for the women’s team. Wasim brings a wealth of cricketing experience to his new position. He will be supported by former Test bowlers Abdur Rehman as the spin bowling coach and Junaid Khan as the assistant coach.
Pakistan Women’s Cricket Team Camp
Preparation for the Asia Cup has already begun in earnest. A four-day training camp started on Wednesday morning at the Hanif Mohammad High Performance Centre in Karachi. The camp features 28 players, all vying for spots in the final squad. The women’s national selection committee is closely monitoring player performances to select the best possible team for the tournament.
